Each year, the East Islip Teachers’ Association sponsors a Family Assistance Fund during the holiday season. Active and retiree EITA members, in conjunction with district office administration and staff, donate monies to be distributed to local families in need to help bring some joy to their holidays. Since its inception in 1984, the EITA Family Assistance Fund has raised and distributed over $400,000. Thanks to the generosity of staff, retirees and administration, the EITA was able to donate over $17,500 to nearly 90 local families in December. 

“Supporting our community in any way we can has always been a priority for the East Islip Teachers’ Association,” EITA President Christopher Neske said. “We hope these donations helped make the season brighter and look forward to continuing this great tradition in years to come.”
