  • Young Scientists at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ and RCK Compete for Best Projects

    Dedicated young scientists at John F. Kennedy Elementary School and Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School recently battled to come up with the most innovative projects in the two schools’ annual science and engineering design fairs, while following the Scientific Method.

    The winner at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ was Joseph Vertullo for his project “How Different Materials React in Saltwater. Brady Ferreby earned second place for “Sleep Scores, Can Snoring be Reduced?” and Alexa Duryee took third for “Optical Illusions, What Do You See?” Winning honorable mention were Meigh Ballato for “Build Up or Tearing Down, How Plants React to Words” and Alexa Leek for “Do Chickens Have a Favorite Fruit or Vegetable?”

    Emma Kowalik took first at RCK for “Loaded Diapers,” followed by Kaelyn Dirkschneider in second for “Which Cleaner Works Best” and James Paradise in third for “Video Games: Is the Pressure On.”
