Students from East Islip High School’s SADD club visited Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ and RCK on Oct. 27 for Red Ribbon Week to speak to fifth graders about joining clubs and sports and getting involved in school rather than making poor choices.  

“East Islip’s SADD Club not only educates students about making good decisions, but it also offers a connection between making good choices and staying drug free,” said SADD adviser Bridget Lopiccolo. “Our motto is ‘It’s Choice Not Chance That Determines Your Destiny,’ and nothing is truer. Students at a very early age are being negatively influenced, and here in East Islip we don’t want to be part of that statistic. I have been running this program for over 20 years, and each year we hope to reach more and more students and help them stay drug free.”
