East Islip High School students recently attended a luncheon for the Ambassadors of Compassion program, hosted by the Rotary Club of Islip at the Irish Coffee Pub in East Islip. The program, in which 150 East Islip High School students are enrolled, helps students build resiliency, leadership skills and social-emotional learning, assisting them in working through real-life issues and equipping them with the critical skills necessary to navigate life challenges. Ambassadors of Compassion also requires students to complete a community service project.
