Last month’s Catch-A-Career Breakfast at the Irish Coffee Pub, supported by the East Islip School-Business Partnership, was abuzz with professionals and East Islip High School students speaking about careers.  

The 2023 keynote speaker was Theresa O’Halloran of Suffolk Transportation.

“This journey is just starting, and here are a few things to remember along the way,” O’Halloran told the students. “Never be afraid to try new things. You will start at the bottom, but it’s OK, because with time and effort, you will rise to the top. Never stop being persistent. Work at your skills, as they will surely get better.”

“I couldn’t say it better,” coordinator Bridget Lopiccolo said. “That is truly amazing advice for our students, who are just beginning their journey. Through the East Islip School-Business Partnership, we are taking every step to help our students become members of tomorrow’s workforce.”
