Several dozen students from East Islip High School’s Ambassadors of Compassion program partnered with Keep Islip Clean to do a cleanup of the East Islip Middle School grounds, footbridge and Spur Drive in honor of Earth Day. Guided by event coordinator JoAnn Kukenis from KIC, a community member and parent in the district, these dedicated students removed over 300 pounds of garbage.
