Spectators were encouraged to sing along with the carols and holiday favorites.

Tuba Christmas originated 50 years ago in New York City and is now presented throughout the world in more than 200 cities. It was conceived by tuba virtuoso Harvey Phillips to honor his teacher, the late William J. Bell, who was born on Christmas Day in 1902. This year’s group was conducted by Chris Wilhjelm, conductor of the New Jersey Wind Symphony and former conductor of the famous Goldman Memorial Band.
