East Islip Middle School welcomed its incoming sixth graders at orientation on Aug. 28. Students were introduced to staff, practiced with their lockers, toured the building and met new friends. 

“It was a pleasure to have the building filled with the energy of children again,” Principal Michael Hansen said.
