• 11/2/2022 - Kevin Huang Named All-State Musician

    East Islip High School junior Kevin Huang was recently accepted by the New York State School Music Association to the All-State Orchestra. Huang, a violinist, had previously been named an alternate for the NYSSMA ensemble. He will attend the All-State conference and perform with the All-State Orchestra in December at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.

  • 11/3/2022 - Clark Earns All-County Golf Honors

    East Islip High School student-athlete Ryan Clark placed 15th at the Suffolk County individual golf championship on Nov. 1, held at Spring Lake Golf Course. The postseason started with over 300 high school varsity golfers throughout Suffolk County. Clark earned All-County honors by shooting a two-day, 36-hole total of 157.

  • 11/3/2022 - Art Honor Society Volunteers Face Painting Skills at Firehouse

    Students from East Islip High School’s National Art Honor Society volunteered to face paint at the Great River Fire Department’s annual Halloween event.

    “We always have a wonderful group of creative students who like to get their art service hours by helping at local community events and face painting,” teacher Heather Toomey said. “The students love to work with children and show off their artistic talents. We are so proud of the National Art Honor Society members and all of their hard work.”

  • 11/7/2022 - Red Ribbon Week Celebrated

    John F. Kennedy Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week at the end of October with a Crazy Hair Day, promoting the goal of eating healthy foods every day “from head to toe.” At the week’s end, East Islip High School students from the SADD club visited Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ to speak to fifth graders on the importance of making good, healthy choices.
