East Islip Middle School’s theater students put on a memorable production of “Shrek the Musical” on Feb. 2 and 3. Impressed crowds filled the school’s auditorium to see Kylen Curry star as the title character. The talented cast also included Mary Galloway as Donkey, Anna Fantauzzi as Fiona, Nicholas Koch as Farquaad, Kendel Gravano as Dragon, James Blaschuk as Pinocchio and Lindsey Weber as Gingy.

“I am proud of all the hard work that each and every student gave towards our production,” EIMS Musical Director Michael Fernandez said. “It was a smashing success, with a sell-out show on Friday. From memorizing lines and different dances, to moving around big sets and managing props, everyone involved dedicated a large amount of time and effort to make this musical possible and also enjoyable.”
