In Timber Point’s new art enrichment class, half of a class is brought in at a time to work on specialized projects with a focus on art, social-emotional learning and STEAM topics. First graders in art enrichment have recently been hard at work learning how to work together in large teams. Teacher Amanda Lastella spoke to the students about what makes a good team and how teams can problem-solve during disagreements. Together, the students then constructed a large mandala using a variety of objects.
