The young musical actors of East Islip Middle School thrilled the community at two February performances of their production of “Mary Poppins Jr.,” directed by Cayleigh Hearth. The dedicated cast included Kendel Gravano as Mary Poppins, Heath Affelt as Bert, Jake Ingrassia as George Banks, Liv LaBella as Winifred Banks, Anna Fantauzzi as Jane Banks, Nicholas Koch as Michael Banks, Sienna Graber as Robertson Ay and Angelina Altamirano as Mrs. Brill.

“Our community and parents shared how excited and inspired their children were to work towards this performance with our teachers,” said Dr. Rob Wottawa, East Islip’s art and music director. “The performance included singing, dancing, tapping and an outstanding set design which allowed the audience to be transformed to another time and place.”
