Another Exciting Day in Clay at Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ and RCK

  • Fifth graders at East Islip’s John F. Kennedy Elementary School and Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School were once again treated to an exciting and enriching Day of Clay program from professional sculptor and potter Cliff Mendelson. During the workshop, each student has the opportunity to design and create their own ceramic vessels based on Native American techniques.

“Our children truly loved exploring the various cultures associated with pottery and each had the opportunity to craft their own vessel,” Director of Art and Music Dr. Rob Wottawa said. “Our art teachers and Mr. Mendelson were excited to inspire our learners and dive deeper into pottery.”
