East Islip High School’s varsity boys bowling team finished the first half of the season in first place in the league with an 8-0 record. All members of the team contributed to the strong start, with Andrew Jacobsen, Brenden Muller and Matthew Sundberg all league and county leaders in average, high series, high game and match points. Lucas Brelsford, Niko Stavropoulos, Greggory Stephens and Matthew Wodicka all saw considerable playing time and have been instrumental to the team’s success so far this season. 

“The boys worked hard over the break to improve their skills even further and come out strong in the second half,” coach Judy Fischer said.
